Ferns and mosses fight about the space around the tree roots, while Eleocharis and Cryptocorynes do the same underneath them and Ludwigia and Vallisneria behind them.
The wild and untamed expression is carefully planned. The layout requires regular trimming and cutting, in order to prevent the fast-growing plants from overshadowing and suffocating the slow-growing plants – as it happens in nature.
