Hygrophila polysperma 'White'

Layouts containing this plant

Hygrophila polysperma ‘White’ is a special selection developed in the Tropica greenhouses in Denmark. Grown above water, the plant is light green and may show small spikes on the leaves. Once planted under water, it transforms and develops a striking pale green and white pattern that makes it truly stand out in the aquarium.

The plant grows upright with good branching, and regular trimming will encourage a compact and dense appearance. Its fresh, light tones create contrast among darker green or red plants and help brighten the overall layout.

Hygrophila polysperma ‘White’ is fast growing and adapts well to a wide range of conditions. Good lighting enhances the white patterning and keeps the growth compact. An excellent choice for midground or background placement, especially in layouts where contrast and texture play an important role.
