Pogostemon quadrifolius from Laos is a distinctive stem plant closely related to Pogostemon stellatus. It is often referred to as Pogostemon stellatus ‘Octopus’ due to its characteristic growth form. This plant is very easy to care for and grows strongly under a wide range of conditions, making it a reliable choice for both new and experienced aquarists. Regular trimming is recommended to maintain a compact and tidy appearance, as the plant quickly produces new shoots. Replanting head cuttings encourages dense growth, while side shoots can also be used and develop at a slightly slower pace, which makes them well suited for smaller aquariums and Nano Cubes.
