The deep dark bottom layer accentuates the pale green Hygrophila and Helanthium (previously named Echinodorus) quadricostatus. Both are easy plants with a fresh and vigorous appearance. As a powerful contrast, you will see the darker Anubias and Microsorum, well surrounded by Spiky-moss and placed with each their tree root in the backmost corners. The orange red Ludwigia will catch your attention in this little, intimate place in the jungle river.

Tip! The obvious choice are small shoal fish with a reflection effect for this kind of aquarium, such as e.g. glowlight tetra (Hemigrammus erythrozonus) or neon tetra (Cheirodon axelrodii).
