Here we show a fine layout rich in plants and with both colour and variation - and only with plants where we know that they can grow without addition of CO2. The central piece of wood is placed as a tree, and along the roots it runs out to rocks. The tree top is made of moss, and Vallisneria and Crypts are planted in the cracks between wood and rocks - both plants that do well when overshadowed. Hygrophila difformis is fast growing and easy - and in the other side gives Ludwigia and Bacopa a beautiful colour contrast. Over time should Bacopa be trimmed lower down than Ludwigia so both plants can be seen from the front. Tenellus is planted in small tufts along the rock edges.

Tip! Many bunches such as Hygrophila difformis are fast growing - and inexpensive! Fast growing plants help you when you start up the aquarium. When the aquarium is in balance, you can always remove the bunch plant and add a new plant instead.
