Large and coloured leaves from Echinodorus, Nymphoides and Hygrophila are encircled by slim, grass-like leaves from Cyperus and tenellus. Moss tied to the large branches provides a sense of age and perspective, while the small islands of Riccia create focus points. Araguaia must regularly be trimmed hard backwards in order for it to stay low and dense.
Tip! Place red and purple plants in the middle of the aquarium, where there is most light. This provides the best possibilities for colour development.
