Diversity and vigour makes an aquarium exciting, but requires experience and a lot of maintenance. The shape of the leaves, colours and sizes have been thoroughly mixed in order to create life and diversity. Just as in nature, the plants are fighting for space and light. The strongest and fastest growing plants must be cut often to prevent them from suffocating the weaker plants. Obviously, ground covering plants must not be shaded, so it is important to thin out the floating plants intensively on a regular basis.
Tip! "Jungle"-style mixes a lot of different plants, but takes a great deal of practice. The result can easily get very messy.
